This pamphlet is a reprint from the Transactions of the Epidemiological Society of London, and deals with the prevalence of typhoid fever in the Indian army. The author was for some 20 years in the Sanitary Department of the North-Western Provinces, and his account of the inertia displayed in sanitary matters is pitiable. lie attributes much of the enteric lever in the army to the use of polluted water, and gives some striking instances supporting his contention.
